Sam Dawson Receives The MSWG Lifetime Membership Award

At the June 2026 general meeting, Sam Dawson was recognized with the MSWG Lifetime Membership Award for his service and dedication to the club. At the time of the presentation Sam had served a total of 115 months on the MSWG board while demonstrating near-perfect attendance and participation in MSWG meetings and events.

Sam chairs MSWG’s Pen for Troop program, the President’s Challenge, and the club’s annual Delta Fair event. Sam serves as co-chair for the club’s participation in the annual Art in the Loop event and for the Pink Palace Craft Fair where he is typically the top overall top seller with 25% of his sales going directly to the club. In addition, Sam maintains and moves the club’s trailer; and is much appreciated for his steady stewardship of the general meeting break table, having served well over 2,700 cups of coffee, 3,200 dozen donuts, and countless ice-cold soft drinks and water.
