MSWG's 2025 Octoberfest

This year the event was held at St. Columba Episcopal Camp & Retreat Center. Multiple club members and guests stated "This is a wonderful place and I did not know it was even here". One person called it "a real Memphis diamond that I did not know about".


For those who missed the event there were approximately 44 members and guests.


Following is a rundown of the activities:

Larry Sefton did a demonstration on how to make a wig stand.

Did a demonstration on Woodturning 101 (especially for new woodturners).

Did a demonstration how to make a shop mallet.



Joel Benson

Did a chain saw demonstration on safety and how to cut and prepare your own wood.



Yoshino Cherry

Lisa Jo Perdu

Art teacher from Harding Academy held a morning hands-on class on embellishing and painting wig stands.
