The program was born a decade ago and many people across the nation make writing pens for our troops seeing action overseas. Our chapter produces close to 300 pens a year for donation to the program and we feature this project during several of our public events like a local arts weekend and our demo at the Delta Fair to draw attention to our craft and the story/program behind our making of these pens. We have met several military members who received one of these pens and their appreciation is what keeps us making more pens.
