Bowl is for decoration or dry utility. Utility in this case means NO wet foods, wet oils (salad), fruit or vegetables that can cause liquid damage to bowl. Meant to be used with items such as potato chip, popcorn, crackers, random decorations, etc. Makes an excellent bowl for bread and dinner rolls.

If/when the bowl looks like it needs to be oiled, use a drying oil like Mike Mahoney, Walnut Oil Utility (most good cutting board oils like Boos Block Mystery Oil work). Avoid vegetable or olive oils as they can turn sticky and spoil over time.
