With only two weeks to spare, we are behind in finalizing plans for the demonstration tent. Sam has asked me to coordinate this, so review the details and call me to volunteer!

Due to the daily high heat expected this year, shift times will be modified to allow for plenty of hydration and flexibility breaks. I will be at the fair all three days to aid in this. 

• There will be two (2) lathes in the Demonstration tent with spinning tops as the focus of the turning. (Reasoning for the newer members: to engage children while parents/guardians take turns to view/purchase the items for sale!)

•  Items to be turned WILL BE spindle items: spinning tops, "cooking oil bottle stoppers"  (NOT to be called wine stoppers around children), weed pots, and small one-piece ornaments. Members must supply their own blanks for weed -pots, and ornaments and a means (special chuck) to hold…
