I was asked the other day how I paint the inside of my hollow forms. Over the past years I have tried a lot of methods and most did not work at all or I had poor results. If you have a better method please let me know.
I purchase a long handle roller as seen in the above photo. Then cut off part of the metal and then bent it as seen in the photo below. Buying the handle was cheaper than buying aluminum or steel rod and making a handle.
I purchase 4 or 6 inch foam rollers and cut them to about 1 1/2 long (a little past the plastic bearing inside the roller).
Painting need no explanation. However, because a hollow form does not have air circulation inside I use a small aquarium air pump to increase airflow as seen in the following photo.
